Popular Musician, Alayeluwa at 50, Donates Massively to Charity

Popular fuji musician, philanthropist and socialite, Sulaimon Alao Adekunle aka Alayeluwa, has once again stretched a helping hand to Nigerians living with disabilities with the donation of household equipment, food items and other materials to the Focus on Disabilities Foundation home to further ease their adaptation in the society.

Alayeluwa, who made the donations to commemorate his golden jubilee celebration, confessed that it is his nature to give, adding that it is the only way to make the creator happy with any individual.

Among the items donated are 50 boxes of noodles, five bags of rice, one Thermocool Petrol powered generator, 100 litres of Groundnut oil, five mouka foams, Boxes of biscuits and other toiletries.

Making the donations, Alayeluwa praised the founders of the home for doing their foresight and hailed all the achievements made so far. He also identified with the children, encouraging them to work for the best of the future.

“Giving is a virtue that God expects all of us to have, and I appreciate the founders of this home for a job well done. It behoves on me to celebrate my landmark birthday of 50 with these wonderful children, and I hope you will accept my token of kindness, and join me in thanking God,” Alayeluwa said.

Responding, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Home, Mr. Enilari Abiodun Paseda, thanked the musician and wish him more glorious years in view on behalf of the management and inmates. He also lavished appreciation on Yeyeluwa Rasheedat Omobola Lastampa Seera, for her efforts in facilitating the visit.

“Thank you sir for the gifts. Thank you for considering our home and the children, and may the good Lord continue to bless you and grant you many more years, Happy birthday,” Paseda reeled.

Born February 15, 1973, Alayeluwa has been in the music scene since childhood when he started playing  popularly known by playing and performing music in a qur’anic school in the Agege of Lagos. His efforts in the world of philanthropism has really elevated him to the world of humanity, and he is not ready to quit yet.

Philanthropist Donates N10m Luxury Bus to Disability Foundation Home

Renowned social entrepreneur and philanthropist par excellence, Hon Hareter Babatunde Oralusi, popularly known as HBO, has donated a luxury bus worth over N10 million to the Home for Children with Disabilities, a project of the Focus on Disability Foundation, founded by United Kingdom based Mr. Abiodun Paseda.

Hon Oralusi, a native of Osun State, who is also based in the United Kingdom, is the Chairman, Board of Directors, LifeCome Group Limited and Foremedia Group Limited, United Kingdom, is according to Paseda, a man of integrity, whose stock in trade is giving back to the society and extending his God-given blessings to all and sundry, especially the under privileged.

Expressing his appreciation while speaking to pointblank.ng, Paseda said “This is to show our appreciation over and over again to our loving and supportive daddy, Hon Oralusi. We thank and appreciate you for the donation of this bus for the children’s use. It will be used in taking the children to school and bring them back everyday. Once again, we say thank you and God bless you.”

The Focus on Disability Foundation, founded in 2010, is a non for profit organization, saddled with the responsibility of creating and providing new life and hope for people living with disabilities. In 2021, t has scored another high in its unmatched efforts at looking after the disabled, with a magnificent edifice to accommodate  diverse people living with disabilities.

The multi-roomed bungalow with modern and recreational facilities, which is situated in Odogbolu Local Government of Ogun State, was commissioned in the presence of dignitaries from across the length and breadth of the state, who took turns to inspect the facility, and applaud the visioner, and Founder, Focus on Disability Foundation, Mr. Abiodun Enilari Paseda.

Paseda is known for his passion to uplift the standard of living of people living with disabilities across the globe, especially in Nigeria, Ghana and England where his impact has been greatly felt so far. He has supervised the provision of sundry humanitarian assistance to people living with disabilities across Nigeria and the African continent with special mention to England, his place of residence.

“Disable people are the most neglected in the world, especially in Africa. There were no disability laws to protect them as in the UK and other European countries. This aroused my passion to help them and other less privileged,” he says.

Hon Oralusi joined the long list of prominent Nigerians, who have identified with the good work of Paseda, in ensuring the people living with disabilities have a good life.

British Deputy High Commissioner Lauds Abiodun Paseda, Pledges Support for FODUK

The British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Ben Llewellyn-Jones, has lauded the efforts of frontline humanitarian, and Founder, Focus on Disability Foundation, Mr Abiodun Paseda, who has taken it upon himself to tend to the needs of people living with disabilities, describing him as a selfless person.

Mr. Llewellyn-Jones made the assertion while receiving the Mr. Paseda and a delegate of people living with disabilities, who paid him a courtesy visit in his Queens Drive, Ikoyi, Lagos residence penultimate weekend.

Speaking glowingly of Paseda’s giant strides in the field of humanitarianism, Llewellyn-Jones, who fondly watched video clips of the Foundation’s activities, said the High Commission will partner with the Foundation, and identify areas of assistance so that the work of humanity already embarked upon by Paseda will sail on smoothly.

The Deputy High Commissioner attended the children, who were drawn from the Foundation’s lodging facility in Odogbolu, Ogun State, praising Paseda’s efforts in providing for their emotional, mental academic and physical wellbeing.

“We will do our part to sustain this lofty objective in terms of cooperation and collaboration,” Llewellyn-Jones said.

Receiving the award, a joyful Mr. Paseda, beaming with smiles, appreciated the organisers for recognizing his ‘little’ efforts in the care of humanity through those living with disabilities.

 

Based in London, England, Mr. Paseda, who was crowned with a prestigious humanitarian honours for his contributions by the Ceebee Gold Foundation, is the Chief Executive Officer, Focus on Disabilities (FOD) Foundation, a not for profit organization that is saddled with the responsibility of seeing to the wellbeing of those living with disabilities.

The organization, founded in 2010, has supervised the provision of sundry humanitarian assistance to people living with disabilities across Nigeria and the African continent with special mention to England, his place of residence.

He is a stern believer in the lifting of the downtrodden in the society.

“Disable people are the most neglected in the world, especially in Africa. There were no disability laws to protect them as in the UK and other European countries. This aroused my passion to help them and other less privileged.”

A recipient of the BEFFTA Award, Africa achiever Award, Scotland among many others, Paseda has since 2012 been distributing movement enhancing materials to the disabled across the continent. Some of these distributions include 60 wheel chairs and disability aids in Kano and Kaduna states in 2012; distribution of clutches, wheel chairs, food items among other things in Ogun state in March and September 2013. Ever since, the selfless giver has not looked back in supporting the less privileged with his resources.

Paseda’s humanitarian outreach stretches across Africa and the UK where he is reputed to have touched a lot of lives.

The man who humbly admitted that he learns everyday, is also a generous and selfless giver.

“I will continue the fight for the disabled until they are treated as equal members of the society, with equal rights with the able-bodied,” he said.

With the collaboration, partnership and funding promised by the renowned British High Commission, it is believed that new vistas will be opened for the children living with disabilities to live out their lives in joy and comfort.

COVID-19 Palliatives: Attend to Persons Living with Disabilities Urgently, FODUK CEO, Paseda Urges FG

Noting that Coronavirus has become the greatest global health emergency in recent times just as its ripples reverberate far and wide across the universe, Mr Paseda said that the very poor in the society as well as those living with disabilities are the hardest hit, and as a result need the urgent attention of the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force, Coalition Against COVID-19, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs among others to live a meaningful life.

Further in his address, Paseda observed that the virus has the potential to spread at an alarming rate among the poorest and people with disabilities because they are the most vulnerable.
“It will hit them the hardest unless they urgently receive emergency supplies, social protection, medical treatment and food relief packages,” Paseda said.

Focus on Disability Foundation has been in the forefront of providing food items and cash to people with disabilities in Nigeria to cushion the effect of hardship occasioned by the lockdown.
Over the years, FOD has been identifying with the forgotten people with disabilities, providing succour and hope for a better tomorrow.
Among other functions, the foundation supports the education of children with disabilities and empower the adults, so that they can reach their full potential in life.

The Founder/CEO of Focus on Disability Foundation (UK), Mr Abiodun Enilari Paseda in consultation with the charity’s board of Trustees, Patrons and Global Ambassadors is pleased to announce the appointment of Rev.Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi as the Grand Patron of the charity.

 

Rev.Mother Esther Ajayi is the founder of Love of Christ Generation Church C&S in London. She is a seasoned international Preacher, Philanthropist and Role Model.
This is a first and only appointment of its kind as a “Grand Patron” of this noble charity, which takes care of people with disabilities in Africa and now working extensively in Nigeria.
